Slow Fest Sopot 2019

Slow Fest Sopot is one of the biggest and most interesting food festivals in this part of Europe. It gathers chefs, cooks, enthusiasts and discoverers. 70,000 tasting portions, 2,000 kg Baltic and Atlantic fish, 500 kg of fish from Kashubian lakes, and 10,000 portions of sweets! Don’t miss it!

Open’er Festival

July 3-6 2019

Gdynia Kosakowo

One of the most important music festival of Poland – recognized by (but not limited to) the vast majority of European music enthusiasts. Open’er is famous for its democratic approach. This year at Kosakowo Airport you can enjoy the music of rock legends – The Smashing Pumpkins and many brilliant artists and bands such as Vampire Weekend, Travis Scott, Rosalia, Anna Calvi and Idles.

FETA 23th Street and Open-Air Theatres Festival

Globaltica World Cultures Festival 2019

46th Wdzydze Fair 2019

Wdzydze Fair 2019 is a 46th edition of the biggest Kashubian summer folk festival and has been organized in the local museum since 1973. This annual event attracts a dozen or so thousand people each time. One can enjoy the shows of folklore groups and classical music concerts, demonstrations of old professions, rural crafts and local traditional activities, as well as taste rare and delicious regional products.

Ladies’ Jazz Festival

23th Shakespeare Festival 2019

The history of this festival goes back to 1993 when this ambitious project became an initiator of European Shakespeare Festivals Net that includes Shakespeare festivals from Poland, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Czech Republic, and Armenia. This edition will by partly related to a European project of the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre titled “Shaking the Walls”, funded partially by EU from the Creative Europe program.

 

St. Dominic’s Fair

The biggest and the liveliest outdoor trade/entertainment event in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. St. Dominic’s Fair tradition goes back 760 years. Located in the heart of the Old Town, St. Dominic’s Fair brought 7 million guests last year who visited over 1100 trading booths. Each day brings nice concerts, fireworks, costume plays and colorful parades. One of the greatest attractions of St. Dominic’s Fair is a Ferris wheel at Ołowianka Island. Its unique location enables seeing Gdańsk from an exceptional perspective. Ferris wheel AmberSky offers 36 gondolas with an AC and a VIP one with a glass floor.

 

Vivat Vasa! Two Vasas Battle – 1626

It is the largest historical event in Poland recreating the 17th century military. The reenactment of the battle takes place in the area of the Gniew Castle, castle boroughs and the surrounding area, whereas co-events take place within the town. It is possible to hear the cannonballs and enjoy royal duels and foreign regiment drill.
