Thai feast by Motława River

Native Thais invite guests to the Lao Thai restaurant located the Old Town in Gdańsk. The great variety of exotic dishes in Gdańsk is guaranteed.

The creators of one of the healthiest and most aromatic cuisines in the world – Thais – invite foodies for a memorable feast at their restaurant in the heart of the Old Town in Gdańsk. In the Lao Thai all dishes are prepared by native Thai cooks so it is a great opportunity to try unique meals of the wide palette of southeast Asian flavours. It’s an excellent idea not only for a dinner with the family, but also for a more intimate meeting or a tasty meal in the energizing scenery of summer garden with a view of Motława River.

Before the season starts, the restaurant refreshes the menu and brings in some novelties. It’s a great idea to taste Hoi Kab (42 PLN) – Thai mules with coconut milk, lemongrass, and coriander, or Amok (26 PLN) – a zander prepared with homemade curry paste, coconut milk and an egg steamed in a basket made from banana leaves. You should also try Bao – Asian buns steamed with Lao spices. The Lao Thai also offers a great selection of curries, appetizers with a vegetarian option, soups and dishes famous for their tamarind, lime and coriander aroma.

The restaurant serves also a traditional spicy-sour soup Tom Yum Koong with shrimps, lemongrass and coriander (22 PLN) and delicate Keaw Moo soup with wonton (Chinese dumplings), shitake mushrooms and mung sprouts (19 PLN). A filling lunch set costs only 35 PLN but smaller options such as fresh salads, kids menu and refreshing desserts that turn every meal into a real eastern feast are also worth mentioning. A reasonable price-quality ratio for this delicious food is also a reason for the guests to gladly return for even more culinary experiences.
